The Pinnacle Picnic Group is located along Skyline Drive near mile marker 36.7. The area has picnic tables, grills, potable water, and a restroom. The Appalachian Trail runs past the picnic area and heads up and over The Pinnacle before continuing to Mary's Rock. The summit of Mary's Rock has great panoramic views of the area.

Materials needed: Potatoes, mayonnaise, mustard, plastic knife, bowl of ice water, bowl to mix. Boil the potatoes. Bring them to a table with a large bowl of ice water. Place the potatoes in a bowl of ice water (cold water with ice in it!) Let sit for 5 minutes. Remove potatoes and the skins will peel right off!
